Cara Cirasole started the Butterfly Brotherhood during her senior year of high school as a way to use her own struggles to guide others through theirs. Her passion lies in creating a safe space for everyone to be so they know they are not alone.
Brandon is so excited to share his story with you! He will be coming to meet you at our events and share his experience with mental health and what the Butterfly Brotherhood means to him.
Sean and Lily are here behind the scenes to keep this beautiful community up and running.
Butterflies serve as a symbol in many areas of life and are extremely prominent in the mental health community. People have to go through great changes and challenges in life to become the best version of themselves, such as butterflies have to go through metamorphosis to achieve the beauty we admire.
Creating origami butterflies is a fantastic way to implement mindfulness into daily life and start teaching kids about mental health. When creating the butterfly, it urges people to slow down and think about what they are doing, rather than what stresses them in day to day life. It also gives children an opportunity to be interactive when hearing someone speak about mental health.
The Butterfly Brotherhood
Please Note: The team at Butterfly Brotherhood are not doctors or trained mental health professionals. Our goal is to help educate and guide people in need to resources available from established mental health support organizations. If you are in crisis or know someone who is, please contact a medical professional or hospital.
